Rent : how to estimate your budget?

Take the rent from the lease or compare suitable premises in the same area.

Prepare your estimate

To be gathered to cost this item

  • Leased area and annual rent excluding charges.
  • Lease or comparable advertisements dated, in the targeted municipality.
  • VAT indicated in the lease: it is not systematic.

To be checked to avoid omissions and duplicates

  • Compare prices in €/m²/year, not in €/m²/month.
  • The security deposit, the work and a right to lease are not monthly rents.
  • Separate the expense provisions so as not to count the same expenses twice.

Calculate the monthly budget

Take the rent from the lease or compare suitable premises in the same area.

Enter the parameters to calculate the budget. Zero means zero expense.

Fictitious example: a quote of €1,200 per year gives a smoothed budget of €100 per month.

The budget is distributed at a fixed amount each month. It does not automatically track turnover, headcount, seasons or annual deadlines. It must be recalculated after modifying these assumptions.
